23.6x27.6 in ~ Painting, Oil
A painting of a reclining female nude. She is lying horizontally across the canvas from left to right. Her left leg is bent backwards at the knee and she is resting on her left elbow. She is looking at a red tulip in front of her and her left hand is stretching to touch the flower. The woman has black hair and a warm skin tone. The left part of the picture consists of various bright red tulips, larger than life that echo her round female shape. Abstract color fields are used to create a three dimensional space: bronze for the left part, white for the upper right part and black for the lower right and middle part. This painting is an homage to my favorite flower, the tulip.
